On May 20, the Shangcheng District Metaverse Industry Development Forum, hosted by the CPC Shangcheng District Committee and Shangcheng District People's Government, and organized by the District Science and Technology Bureau and Wangjiang Street, came to a successful conclusion. The forum aimed to implement the "No.1 Development Project" of digital economy innovation and quality improvement, promote metaverse technology innovation, accelerate the gathering of metaverse enterprises, build metaverse industry ecology, and create a metaverse industry pioneer area. Mr. Kong Jianping, the founder of Nano Labs, was invited to give a speech.

 Zhou Guohui, former Vice Chairman of Zhejiang Provincial Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC), Sun Xudong, Vice Mayor of Hangzhou Municipal People's Government, Wu Jiezhuang, Member of the National Committee of the CPPCC and Member of the Legislative Council of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region, Zhang Yan, Secretary of Shangcheng District Committee, Hui Haitao, Deputy Secretary of the District Committee and Mayor of the District, Zhan Renyi, Director of the Standing Committee of the District People's Congress, Lai Jianbo, Deputy Director of the Standing Committee of the District People's Congress, Kong Dejun, Vice Mayor of the District, Hong Ming, Vice Chairman of the District CPPCC attended the forum. Relevant departments and streets of the city and district were in charge, as well as more than 100 people from key enterprises, digital economy-related enterprises, relevant universities, research institutes, innovation platform operating institutions, financial and investment institutions, media representatives, etc. attended the meeting. At the same time, the forum was live-streamed online in the form of a meta-universe venue for the audience to participate in the forum, bringing a super-immersive, cross-temporal technology feast to tens of thousands of users.

On the site, the most popular Hangzhou Web3 Hub inauguration ceremony was held, which is the first Web3 Hub in Mainland China, marking the in-depth development of Hangzhou-Hong Kong Web3 industry linkage and cooperation, "Web3" as an important area of the digital economy metaverse industry, to promote Hangzhou-Hong Kong Web3 industry linkage and cooperation, and promote the development of metaverse industry layout. Web3", as an important area of digital economy meta-universe industry, has taken a solid step forward in promoting industrial linkage and cooperation in the field of Web3 and the healthy development of meta-universe industry layout.

Mr. Jianping Kong, the founder of Nano Labs, was formally appointed as a member of the expert think tank, and will work closely with other experts to provide intellectual support and decision-making advice for the development of future industries in Shangcheng District through the technical expertise and industry insights of the think tank members.

Afterwards, Mr. Jianping Kong, Chairman of Milliwell Technology, gave a speech introducing the advantages and roles of AI, and pointed out three prerequisites for large-scale user conversion: wealth effect, increased efficiency, and greatly reduced cost. At the same time, Mr. Kong said "AI + Blockchain = Web3" and introduced iPollo, a metaverse real-time rendering network platform under Nano Labs as a metaverse infrastructure, which is dedicated to open social and immersive experiences in the 3D metaverse world. This sharing fully demonstrated the advanced technology and R&D achievements of Uptown companies in the metaverse industry.

The success of this forum marked the opening of a new chapter of metaverse development in Uptown, and also laid the foundation for the future layout of metaverse industry. The second stop of the Campus Web3 Talks series hosted by iPollo, BitMart & CertiK successfully launched at New York University on May 7. This event is organized by Asian Business Society of NYU Stern School of Business and Stern Technology Association of NYU Stern School of Business, in partnership with Entrepreneurs Association of Yale International Students. Featuring industry leaders from Nano Labs and SNZ Capital and professors of Yale University and New York University, the event attracted more than 150 students and crypto enthusiasts.

The seminar aims at providing an opportunity for students, young entrepreneurs, and crypto enthusiasts to learn from and network with industry leaders by covering hot topics such as Web3, Metaverse, AI, and the policy and investment environment in the industry.

The event started with a keynote by Jack Kong, Chairman & CEO of Nano Labs, who discussed the development of AI and Web3 building. He explored the advantages of AI, including AIGC, the infinite generation and expansion of scenes, and the AR Metaverse. As AI applications are booming unprecedentedly, he emphasized that it's the perfect timing to build Web3 with the combination of AI and blockchain.
Kong also spoke about the iPollo platform, which makes Web3 application adventure more accessible by providing computing power, communication, concurrency, blockchain, and a tech ecosystem. He also presented the three laws of Web3 and the four stages of Web3 development, encouraging young entrepreneurs that "You are not a loser unless you quit."

The event also featured a panel discussion with other industry experts, including Marvin Kong, Chief Scientist at iPollo; Zhong Shao, Professor of Computer Science at Yale University and Co-Founder of Certik; Xi Chen, Associate Professor at New York University Stern School of Business; and Keith Chen, Managing Partner of SNZ Capital, moderated by Chad Liang, EVP of Business at BitMart.

Speaking of Web3's future potential, Mr. Keith Chen emphasized on the importance of the scalability, smart contract, stability, and utility of the Web3 projects. As a managing director in a VC, he considers the adoption of the project, the main idea, and the project team members as key factors in evaluating a project. Dr. Xi Chen and Dr. Zhong Shao shared positive news about top universities offering courses and supporting research on blockchain and Web3. They also provided suggestions for students to get involved in this industry.

Last, in the Q&A session, attendees and speakers discussed more about the diverse utility of AI and Web3 technology, some matters that the developers and investors should be aware of, and career guides for new graduates who want to enter this industry.
